TYPHOON 3

The Typhoon3 is based on an engine which is a reference on the market the Mig12. This version follows upon numerous tests and focusing to conceive an engine adapted to the drivers avid to have a quality engine without acquiring an expensive engine. The Typhoon is endowed with 3 ports and with a Turbo crankshaft approved EFRA and IFMAR. This engine will allow numerous drivers to get a true racing engine at moderate price.

EFRA / IFMAR Crankshaft

The crankshaft's design of Typhoon3 gives this engine very strong acceleration and adapted to the performance. The balance is studied for this new engine and gives to the Mig's bearings a great longevity. The design and shape are made for a perfect gas flow. To further enhance performance, the timing has been further improved and without concession to consumption remains extremely low for an engine as powerful. Like all the Mig line, the crankshaft is HardBlack coated, a red putty, used for over 20 years on JP Calandreau, is placed in designed hole of the crankshaft to improve gas flow.
Like the piston sleeve set, each shaft is fine tuned for optimum timing.


WARNING: Do not put the shaft inside solvent or gasoline for cleaning.
This liquides are able to damage the red dough.

3 ports ABC Sleeve

Conforming to 100% with the EFRA and IFMAR rules, the 3 ports piston sleeve Typhoon3 has been completely redesigned. Longer stroke, larger collar, different exhaust and ports in shape and timing, Mig engine is absolutely different for more greater performance compared to old one. The piston is, as the evolution of Typhoon3 model, specially designed on the top for a better flow in the cylinder and combustion chamber. The conrod is endowed with 2 brass rings with high quality alloy which has been the subject of aeronautical control type for optimal reliability proven the performance of this new engine.
Every piston sleeve set are fine tuned for optimum timing. Each piston and sleeve manualluy fixed to check optimum tightening and best compression.

Turbo Glow Plug

The insert is specific to Turbo in Typhoon3 engine and it has been tested and researched for a longtime to end optimize compression and holding glow plug in racing. Its length important entering the sleeve allows maximum tight without deformation of the sleeve. The engine is individually shimmed for equal performance to all engine production. Its larger insert allows an optimal cooling with the cylinder head.

WARNING :
It is very important to use Novarossi glow plugs for this engine. Only Novarossi glow plugs insure an assembly and a perfect connection with the head insert. Some glow plugs could bring the engine impossible to adjust and damage insert and piston/sleeve set.

Carburetor

The carburetor is aluminum with interchangeable reducer of 5.4 mm. As on all Mig Engines the idle setting is limited on a single screw to adjust even easier and user friendly. This carburetor has already proved its worth and confer with Typhoon3 engine a great stability setting and excellent performance.
